Getting Started

What is Inglass Nails?

Inglass Nails™ is the world’s first virtual nail studio. We handcraft professional-grade hard gel nail extensions — Bond-on Hard Gel Extensions™ — to the exact measurements of your nail beds and ship them to your door. You apply them at home. No salon, no UV lamp, no pre-made tips. A category we created after four years of research and development.

How do I know which entrance to use — New to the Studio, Studio Guests, or Studio Members?

New to the Studio is for first-time clients who have never ordered. Studio Guests are returning clients with sizes on file who order occasionally. Studio Members are regular clients who order monthly and have access to a reserved priority calendar. Booking through the correct entrance ensures you reach the right calendar and experience. Not sure? Start as New to the Studio.

I’m a first-time client. How does my first order work?

Choose your design and book your Creation Date at checkout. We ship your complimentary Virtual Sculpting Kit the next business day. You capture your nail bed sizes at home and send them back with the included prepaid USPS label. On your Creation Date we handcraft your set and ship it the next business day. Please book your first Creation Date at least 3 weeks out to allow for kit shipping in both directions.

The Virtual Sculpting Kit

Is the Virtual Sculpting Kit really free?

Yes. The kit, a $50 value, is complimentary with your first order. It captures your exact nail bed measurements at home — no photos, no guesswork. Your sizes are then kept on file permanently for all future orders.

What if I change my mind after receiving the kit?

If you return the kit unused and unopened using the prepaid label, you’ll be refunded for your nail set minus both shipping label fees. If the kit is returned used or opened, a $50 kit fee applies — no additional shipping charges. Contact client care before sending anything back.

What if my sizes come out unusable?

We’ll contact you with two options. Option A: we send a replacement kit with the $50 fee waived — you pay shipping only — and reschedule your Creation Date. Option B: cancel your order for a refund of your nail set minus the $50 kit fee. To avoid unusable sizes, please watch the full video guide before you begin.

Creation Dates & Booking

What is a Creation Date?

Your Creation Date is the day we handcraft your set — your version of an appointment. Instead of sitting in a salon chair, your set is made for you that day and shipped the next business day.

How far in advance should I book?

First-time clients: at least 3 weeks out, to allow for kit shipping. Studio Guests and Studio Members with sizes on file: as soon as 1 week out.

What is The Studio Reservation?

For Studio Members only, The Studio Reservation is a $25 pre-booking that holds your preferred Creation Date in the reserved members calendar before it opens to others. The $25 is credited toward your next order. Refundable if cancelled more than 3 days before your date, non-refundable within 3 days, and reschedulable once at no charge.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Standard bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 72 hours before your Creation Date. Within 72 hours, changes can’t be accepted. More than 2 cancellations in 12 months may affect future booking privileges.

How Are The Nails Made

What are Inglass Nails made of?

100% professional-grade hard gel and hard builder gel — the same material used in high-end salons. No plastic tips, no mass-produced bases, no acrylic. Built by hand, layer by layer, to your nail beds.

Do they feel heavy or bulky?

No. They’re designed to look and feel like a hard gel overlay — thin at the cuticle area, gradually building strength toward the tip. Thickness can vary slightly with your chosen length and nail art.

How durable are they?

Hard gel is non-porous, acetone-resistant, lightweight, and exceptionally strong, while protecting your natural nails. No nail tips are used in any set.

Bonds, Application & Wear

Is the bond included?

Yes. Every set includes our Bond and Debonder for safe removal. See our Bonder & Debonder page for ingredients information.

Are the extensions easy to apply?

Yes, though like any new skill it takes a little practice. Application is far simpler and faster than doing your nails entirely yourself. Watch all the instructional videos before your first application — and text our client care line during studio hours if you have questions while applying.

How long can I wear my set?

For nail health and safety, every set must be worn for and removed at the 4-week mark. Extensions cannot be removed before 4 weeks.

Can the extensions trigger an allergic reaction?

The cured extensions themselves are not allergenic — we ensure each set is fully cured and free of any inhibition layer before packaging. However, a bond is required for adhesion, and we can’t guarantee a completely allergy-free experience. Review our bonder ingredient lists, and consider Black Bond as the gentler option.

Can I wear these on short or brittle nails?

Yes, they can be applied on short nails. However, they cannot be applied over nails that are broken, damaged, or showing signs of infection or unusual discoloration. Please treat any issues first.

Renewals & Rewear

Can I reuse my set?

Yes. Inglass Nails are designed to be renewed up to two times per set through our Renewal Service. We remove bond residue, disinfect to hospital-grade standards, restore the finish, and ship it back ready to wear.

Does the Renewal Service require an appointment?

No appointment needed. Renewals are processed in the order received, with a standard turnaround of 3 business days from receipt — not including transit time to and from you.

When should I send my set for renewal?

As soon as you remove it. Early submission keeps your rotation on schedule.

How do I make sure I always have nails ready?

We recommend the two-set rotation: order two sets from scratch, booking your second 2 to 3 weeks after your first ships. Wear Set 1, then when you remove it at 4 weeks, bond Set 2 and send Set 1 for renewal. Set 1 returns as your next set, and the rotation continues with no gaps. Managing your booking and renewal timing is the client’s responsibility.

Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Your set ships the next business day after your Creation Date. Delivery typically takes 1 to 7 business days depending on location. Faster options are available at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

No — we currently ship only within the United States, and do not ship to Puerto Rico or P.O. Boxes.

Returns

What if the nails don’t fit?

Fit is off your plate — it’s our responsibility. Because every set is handcrafted from scratch using the exact measurements captured through your Virtual Sculpting Kit, fitting issues aren’t expected. Your sizes are taken from your own nail beds, not estimated from a chart or a photo, and they’re kept on file so every set is made to that same precise fit.

If we make an error on our end and your nails are sculpted to the wrong size, we will remake your set. Simply reach out to client care within 3 calendar days of delivery with a brief description and a photo, and we’ll take care of it.

Do you accept returns?

Because every set is handcrafted from scratch exclusively for your nail beds, all nail extension sales are final — no returns or exchanges. If something is wrong with your order on arrival, contact client care within 3 calendar days of delivery. Non-extension products can be returned unopened within 30 days. See our Returns & Refunds page.

Pricing & Custom

Can I design my own nail art?

Yes. Visit our Design Your Set page to create custom artistic nails, priced by complexity tier and number of nails.

Why are Inglass Nails priced as a luxury service?

The price reflects the craftsmanship, materials, and fully custom, made-to-order nature of every set, plus the renewal service that extends each set’s life. See our Pricing page for details.
